Working together is an art - the art is in working together

HISTORY

In 1975 a number of National bodies representing different aspects of Amateur Theatre in the UK joined together to form the Central Council for Amateur Theatre, in order to pursue their common objectives with a greater degree of influence than each could achieve separately.

In pursuing that task, CCAT has represented all Amateur Theatre interests on the Theatre Safety Committee and continued a dialogue with the Arts Councils and Government and Local Government Bodies.
